Tiny cotton jacket

My parents were visiting and they wanted me to take them yarn shopping. We went to Sandnes. 

While they were walking around the store looking for yarn that would felt  - I noticed some displayed baby clothes.

I know I have alreade knitted plenty- but not in cotton. 

So - even though I had no shopping plans, I arrived home with for skeins if Sandes cotton and a leaflet with recioes.

Well this is the jacket.

Rib is so useful because of the elasticity it provides.

If the baby is round or skinny, they will fit.

Found this in a Sandnes Baby magazine.

Bought some mustard coloured Rauma baby wool (Baby panda). Nice and soft.

I am a bit worried if the pant will fit over the shoulders....

Workshop at the pub

Stavanger Strikk og Drikk (Stavanger knit and drink) are meeting once a month in the best pub in Stavanger- The Cardinal.

We wanted to invite the Danish Knit Designer Lene Holme Samsøe for a visit and a workshop. Sunday, March 16th from 17:00 - 20:00 we had our first workshop at Cardinal. It went well.

Topic: Use of Leaf patterns to shape your knitting.

Sandnes Garn were kind enough to sponsor the yarn needed for a hat for each participant. So the result after the workshop: a brand new hat.

What does the fox say?

Lately Ylvis has had a weird song hitting home run. "Everybody" knows the song "What does the fox say?", it's gone viral. So is socks, mittens, hats with a fox theme.

When I saw this recipe, I knew that I needed to make one for Sofie.
I went to Garnkilden and bought a kit.

She used the hat, and then forgot it while visiting my parents.
Well, I guess I need to go to the post office and retreive it.
Wa pa pa pa pa pa pow!

Socks for my daughters

Sandnes has this nice warm alpacca wool strengthened so it is feasable for socks. The pattern is from Drops Design Christmas Calendar.

So three almost identical pair of these.
