DNA vest from Geilsk

I have big plans about knitting some woollen undershirts for myself before the winter.
We will see. There are so much I would like to knit- so the project are in a continously shifting priortized line.
Well, here is the DNA undershirt or vest for a little person arriving in june. Size 3 months.
I used Geilsk thin wool.
The result is soft, light --> and yas I want one for me. Sofie would like one too...

Norwegian flag- baby blanket

I know a personal trainer from the UK. With a friend that had a baby. Normally I do not knit when asked to, and never for sale. But to knit a baby blanket as a small extra project was ok.

I started with only a slight idea of where to put the flag. And to use intarsia to keep it nice on both sides and elastic. And then I started in one corner.

At the end I knitted an airy edge around the whole blanket- from each side. And made four dominoknitted corners.

Sweater for Rigmor

Rigmor needed a warm woolen sweater, for the cold days. I let her look through a few of my knitting books, and in "Mange masker" by several Danish knit designers, she found a sweather she liked. Sys Fredens "bluse med sjalskrave".
Recipe suggested "Donegal fra Lang Yarn" on needle number 4.
We combined two of Geilsk yarns, thin wool and tweed, and used them for the pattern. And Rigmor found the exact colours she liked. Which neither my cell phone or Camera are able to do justice :-)

The advantage was - Easy knitting, back and forth, and nice neck solution.

The disadvantage: sewing. Shoulders, neck, arms, sides.
And in addition: I messed up!
Big time.

First I sewed the shoulders. Everything ok. Then adden one sleve, and sewed from wrist to side.
Sterted to watch a documentary with Snowden- a really good interview- and I sewed the other arm and side from reverse. Had to use the needle to remove stitches and do it all over again.
